Pre-Settlement Meeting

We have been busy packing, buying stuff and getting ready to bid adieu to our apartment. We had our final walk through today. Except for a few minor cosmetic issues everything was good. Our meeting lasted two and half hours. Here are a few pics..more after we move-in

Appliances (the cabinet color looks a little different becoz of the flash)

  2. Wait, you got a double oven and a stove with another oven? Awesome! We got the double oven but we got a cooktop instead of a full range. I didn't even know that was an option!

    1. Thank you!! The appliance story is in my response back to RickandNadase's comments...it's actually a single wall oven, microwave and a range..we definitely had to do quiet a bit of talking to RH for the range!!

  3. Amazing! Pics are awesome. And thanks for the deck pics. RH does not do decks in our area, but we've been debating much on what to do with ours when we eventually build one.

    1. Ha! decoration! The wife is all excited about it!! She wants to do earth tones with an orange color theme in the main floor and incorporate a kid corner in every room for our 3 little ones..we'll see :)

  7. OMG..your house is READY!! CONGRATULATIONS!! Now work with me on the double wall oven and the additional gas range--you must be a serious cook!! What inspired you? That is an awesome arrangement!! What happened to the microwave? I love the color of your cabinets!! BTW--I am so jealous of the chocolate shower! They have it advertised in the models, but do not offer it has an option! It's a set up, I say, a set UP!! You have a beautiful home, BSV!!

    1. Things have moved so fast..It feels like we started the construction only a few days ago.... Coming to the appliances, it's actually a single wall oven and a microwave... the county code changed after we signed the house..the new code did not allow us to have a microwave above the stove without aleast a 30" clearance..So Ryan homes changed the kitchen layout a little bit and gave us a few options. So we decided to go with the option of a convectional Microwave above the single wall oven. We had to pay the difference in price for the convectional oven..but we had heard some great things about the convectional microwave..so we decided to go with it. While Ryan did not originally offer the full range, we insisted on getting 2 ovens as per the original layout. Ryan Homes and we worked together to reach a middle ground on these upgraded appliances.

  8. Your new home is beautiful, congrats!! We only have one Waverly in our NJ development. The rest, including ours, are mostly Courtlands.

  9. Thanks for the deck pictures, very nice.
I noticed that your front staircase white side trim was done a bit differently than ours. See the pictures that I just posted on my blog comparing the two...

  11. I am a new Ryan Home blogger/future home owner. They just broke ground on Thursday. I've been stalking other bloggers to look at pics of their homes and to look for advice. I am so happy I found yours because we picked the same kitchen cabinets (different granite) but keep worrying that they are too read. I LOVE THEM in your photos. I feel so much better now! What color hardwood did you choose? I hope we picked the same. We picked Manchester Saddle plank. The rest of your home is beautiful. Thank you for sharing.

  12. Your home looks beautiful! I'm building a Ryan home near Charlottesville and was wondering what stone you chose for your fireplace. Is it the PA Sierra fieldstone by any chance? My husband and I are currently trying to decide. Thanks!
